Dirty Dancing defined my youth. I’ve watched it no less than 80 times over the years. (The first 60 times were all in 1988) It made me love wearing keds with no socks, dancing on wooden bridges, dresses with full skirts, and a lifelong love of good looking men with just a tinge of bad boy. This scene in particular is a favorite of mine. “I carried a watermelon.”
this may be one of my favorite scenes, and lines, of the movie. my sister, cousin and i watched this over and over again as kids.
such a classic! all of these mentions of old-school movies are making me seriously contemplate a retro movie night party!
