The Sartorial Twist is a site that mashes up different images from The Sartorialist. It is pretty cool, and some of the mash-ups make sweet outfits. I especially like the one below.
I’m a huge fan of accessories. I wear a varying mix of my ever-growing jewelry (read: costume) collection every day. So, I don’t wear a watch on a daily basis. I am always wondering what time it is, but I usually just reach for my iPhone. I think that watches are beautiful statement pieces, but I have always had trouble finding one that would blend with all of my different jewelry statements from day-to-day. I think that this beautiful DKNY would be a great choice.
In the past I have not been a big fan of crossbody bags, but this beauty has definitely changed my opinion.
Gorgeous. Love it.
Fab’rik’s Back-to-school Fashion Drive
I found out about a Fab’rik charity event in a recent issue of Atlanta’s edition of DailyCandy. I was immediately excited! Helping teen girls + fashion + getting to meet other fashionistas + providing clothes to deserving families = a great day in my mind! So I decided to jump in and help. Well, the big event was today, and it did not disappoint! We started the morning at 8am by browsing the racks to familiarize ourself with the items available, which there were a TON of due to the generous donations from people across ATL! The first of 5 groups of girls arrived at 9am for the first shift. I don’t know the official headcount, but I have no doubt that we helped at least a hundred girls today. The girls were so excited, and they all walked away with a great assortment of clothes and accessories that was literally spilling out of their new Fab’rik bags. Then, we did it again & again & again & again. 5 groups of girls and never a dull moment. It was so much fun seeing different tastes and personalities make different picks, and it was so heart-warming to see the smile on their faces when they walked out of the dressing room with a fabulous new outfit. Such a magnificent day! I was lucky to be a personal shopper to some great girls: Sharon, Megan, Katie, Carissa, Kayla, and Jasmine. I hope that they all have wonderful school years! And HUGE props have to go to Dana Spinola for planning this event and opening up her amazing boutique to such a wonderful cause. Dana and Kim Fettig made the whole thing possible, and I am very grateful to have been a part of it!
